Privacy Policy

This service is operated for parents and legal guardians. Students do not create accounts, do not sign in, and are not asked to provide any information directly — the only account holder is the parent or guardian, and all information about a student comes to us from that parent, not from the student.

• Account information (name, email) via our authentication provider (Clerk).
• The schoolwork you upload — assignment PDFs, photos, or scans, which may include your student’s name, handwriting, and school-assigned identifiers if they appear on the page.
• Any reported score or grading context you provide when asking us to review a student’s completed attempt against a guide.
• Payment information is collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not by us directly — we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, not your card details.

Uploaded material is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic’s Claude, and Google Gemini and OpenAI for independent verification) to generate and check the study guide. These providers process the content to return a result to us; we do not control their retention practices and link to their own policies where required.

Every guide is independently checked by a second AI model before delivery, and any statement that check could not confirm is flagged inside the guide itself rather than presented as settled.

Expert human review is available on request — you choose it per request, using the “Request expert human review” checkbox on the request form. When you do, that reviewer today is Bhaskar Rayavaram, Anveshi’s founder — no other person sees your uploaded material or your student’s schoolwork as part of normal operation. If that ever changes (for example, adding additional reviewers), this policy will be updated first and you will be able to see who reviews before continuing to use the service.

We keep two different things for two different lengths of time, because they carry different risk.

• Your guides — kept until you delete them. You paid for them, and they stay available in your account for as long as it is open. Delete any guide at any time, or ask us to close your account, and we remove the guides within 30 days.
• The work you upload — kept for 90 days after the guide is delivered. Scans, photos and recordings of your student’s schoolwork are the most sensitive thing we hold and are not needed once the guide exists, so we delete them on a rolling 90-day schedule. The one practical consequence: after 90 days a guide can no longer be regenerated, because the source it was built from is gone.

To delete anything, or everything, email guru@anveshi.ai from your account’s email address. We will confirm when it is done.

We keep a minimal billing record after deletion where the law requires it (what was purchased and when — never the schoolwork itself).

Uploaded files and generated guides are stored in access-controlled cloud storage, keyed per family so one family’s material is not reachable by another. [Encryption-at-rest specifics pending confirmation of the storage provider’s default guarantees — tracked alongside the retention policy above.]

This service is directed at parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child, and the product is deliberately built with no student-facing login, chat surface, or AI interface of any kind — the student never interacts with our systems directly. All information about a student is provided to us by their parent or legal guardian, who is the one creating the account, uploading material, and reviewing what comes back.

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date before they take effect for existing accounts.
